Thirsty Thursday: The Best Bottles We Drank This Week, 10/23/14

Happy Thursday, everybody. Hump Day has come and gone, tomorrow's Friday and that means you can revel in the fact that it's still not Monday. Since we're all in agreement that this is easily the best day of the week, here's another Thirsty Thursday to milk this day for all it's worth. Hell, you can milk anything with nipples, Greg.

Hollows & Fentimans All Natural Alcoholic Ginger Beer—$Varies
Fentimans has been a staple beverage 'round these parts for a long time now and it was thrilling to find this British-style 4% ABV ginger beer (possibly smuggled) into a little convenience store in the Lower East Side. It's the real deal—brewed with the finest Chinese ginger and fermented for a two-week period to add that much-needed bit of bite to a typically benign drink.

Dunc's Mill Elderflower Rum—$34
It's like someone took the best parts of Vermont and stuck it in a bottle. This rum is combined with a bouquet of wild-picked elderflowers to create this relaxing and tantalizing-as-absolute-f*ck 60-proof spirit. Goes well with hot apple cider or over ice.

Maker's Mark Cask Strength—$40
These guys went big, went home, came back, went bigger, and boom: Maker's Mark Cask Strength. With a proof between 108 to 114 per bottle, we're floored over this bourbon and pumped that they've finally unleashed this beast onto the rest of the world.

Auchentoshan American Oak—$39.99
Bless the souls of the Auchentoshan group—they've kept everyone consistently boozed-up every single week since...ever? American Oak is referred to as the “gateway” Scotch whisky for bourbon fans with its smooth vanilla taste and aromatic coconut hints. This triple distilled 40% ABV Scotch whisky may finally convert bourbon fans after all—JUST GIVE IN.
