Narragansett Nerds-Out With Lovecraft-Inspired Beer

It's not often that lit-nerds and beer-snobs can find common ground with each other that deviates from a toast about the deliciousness of beer—but thy game has changed! Our favorite neighbors to the north (or east, west, or south—depending on where you live), Narragansett, has come out with an H.P. Lovecraft Honey Ale for the ultimate New England pairing.

The 7% ABV ale is set for release on January 19th to celebrate its 125th anniversary—the birthdate of Lovecraft's hero and literary Debbie-downer, Edgar Allan Poe. After hitting a home-run with their Autocrat Coffee Milk Stout and Del's Shandy, 'Gansett's on a brewery's equivalent of when guys like James Franco start writing memoirs; it's weird, but sure, why not?

The Honey Malt-laden ale be available in, both, tall boys and on tap for a limited time. So if you like beer, horror fiction, and New England, grab a can and follow me on Twitter—because you've got good taste.
