George Clooney has a tequila, and it's awesome

Clooney and his amigo Rande Gerber decided they didn't like the tequilas they were drinking — or at least none enough that they'd consider it ideal — and did what any self-respecting man with a bankroll would do: find a master distiller (in Jalisco, Mexico) and make their own. Distilled from 100 percent Blue Weber agave and a propietary yeast, it was meant to be for personal use, but soon enough their friends were asking for more. Thus, with an additional third partner in Michael Meldman, Casamigos Tequila was born. Available in Blanco and Reposado, the bouquet is sweet, smelling more like an aperitif, which was the first major difference we noticed. Then we drank it, and drank more of it, until it was gone within a couple hours. Smooth, it's one of the few tequilas that definitely tastes better without salt and lime.
