The Best Cadillacs for Sale On eBay, 7/29/14

”Cadillac. Ooh-la-la.”—Cosmo Kramer

Nothing but the very best Cadillacs on eBay this week…

Elvis’s 1968 Eldorado Coupe
Yes, you’ve seen this car in this space before, but it’s just too awesome to leave out. Elvis famously loved Cadillacs and owned more than a few over the years. Oddly enough, he also shot a few of them, because Elvis. This is one of the cars he shot, which you can see in this photo just above and in front of the right wheel. [More pics…

1966 DeVille Convertible
Actually an affordable road trip, as you could probably pick this one up for about $30,000. Name something more American than cruising down the highway with the wind in your hair in an absolutely huge old Caddy with an equally huge (429 cid) engine. No? Thought so. [More pics…

The most heavily armored Escalade you’re likely to find
How intense is this thing? Several inches of bulletproof glass and an entire system dedicated to driver visibility in the event of enemy attack is just the beginning. It’s designed to withstand point blank rifle shots, grenades on the roof, landmines from below. [More pics…

1959 Eldorado
Sure, it’s got the largest fins ever put on a car, but the astute connoisseur will appreciate this car for what it doesn’t have. Look at the front of the rear door and note that there’s no B pillar (visible structural support) for the hinges. It’s nice when form and function collide, isn’t it? [More pics...]

1949 DeVille Convertible
This is the car that was so beautiful the designers forgot to put a gas filler panel in the sheet metal, so they hastily put one in the trunk. It’s also the car that kicked off America’s obsession with fins, modeling the design from the P38 Lightning fighter plane. One more neat tidbit? Look at the rear, then compare it to the earliest Corvettes. Yeah. Same guy. [More pics…

Bulletproof 1962 Fleetwood 75
This might not be quite as invincible as the aforementioned Escalade, but it’s still a pretty boss ride. Today, an armor-plated 1962 Fleetwood seems like the coolest possible way to drive around safely in Chicago. [More pics…

1934 Town Coupe
This was one of the very first Cadillacs to take advantage of the properly counterweighted, balanced crankshaft that made the marque’s V8s so smooth. With 120 hp, this car was quick for its time, and the seats were made from the same type of construction as your mattress today. This was not the kind of car you wanted your daughter going out on a date in. [More pics…]
