The Eco-Friendly Floating House Of The Future

We've been hearing for years that half the country is going to wind up underwater eventually. Get ahead of the curve with the WaterNest, a floating home that makes life at sea all the more bearable with modern convenience and stylish touches.

Italian Giancarlo Zema designed the structure for UK-based EcoFloLife, and you can commission your own for a cool $1.5 mil. That may sound like a lot, but it's a bargain considering all the dough you'll save on green features like solar panels and low-consumption micro-ventilation air conditioning.

The whole thing is just over 1,000 square feet and houses a living room, dining area, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom made entirely of recycled materials.

Get a peek at the interior below and prepare to drool over the ultimate water views.
