These Vintage-Inspired Custom Skateboards are Works of Art

Born out of an appreciation for sixties DIY skate culture, Side Project Skateboards is making some of the most beautiful decks we've seen in a while. Made from start to finish by the same pair of hands, the boards are mostly constructed from recovered and found American hardwoods, giving each board a unique look that doesn't need any paint or stickers to stand out.

Despite being crafted in a world of CNC machining and factories, everything is shaped entirely by hand — even the wheel wells.

The boards feature Bennett Vector 4.3-inch trucks and Seismic 3dm Cambria wheels, both made in the U.S.A.

Every Texas-made board has leather risers from the Horween Tannery in Chicago, completing its incredible one-of-a-kind look.
