These Water Bottles Will Keep Your Drink Cold For 24 Hours

Like your fantasy football team, no one wants to hear about your new water bottle. It's just...no one cares. Like at all.

But that doesn't make it boring to you. Meet S'well, the water bottle of the moment, one that's going to be very important to you and will be on the tip of your tongue for the next year. Literally.

The $45 price tag is steep, but here's the selling point: cold liquid stays cold for 24 hours; hot liquid stays hot for 12 hours. Supercompressor put it to the test and sure enough, it held its promise. My disgusting hot k-cup coffee was still just as hot and disgusting at 7 p.m. as it was that morning.

Normal iced water, poured at noon on Monday, was still wonderfully chilled for Tuesday's lunch.

It's magic! Well, no, it's science. S'well's makeup of double-walled insulated stainless steel allows the liquid to keep it's temperature. Okay, fine, it's magic.

The mouth is big enough to drop ice cubes into, but not so big (like, say, Nalgene bottles) that a slight bump in the road and it's all over your new Abercrombie shirt. And at 17 ounces, it's big enough to last you a long hike or a Quentin Tarantino movie.

It's a water bottle, so it's not like it's changing the worl—oh, wait, it sort of is changing the world. Part of S'well's profits are channeled back to charities helping provide clean drinking water across the globe.

Verdict? Pour it up, pour it up.

Ryan Hatch is the deputy editor for Supercompressor. That last "pour it up" line is a reference to a 2012 Rihanna song that he heard for the first time last week. Ryan is a poseur and shouldn't be allowed in public; you'll see why on Twitter @RyanHatch.
