Cork Vans. Wine Not?

Vans = California. From the classic blue of the Z-Boys skate team ripping through empty pools to Jeff Spicoli's checkered pair, Vans shoes have defined the Golden State's feet and kept them from sandal zebra tan lines. But what about Northern California? In what we're going to assume is a tribute to the spectacular wine country of Napa and Sonoma, Vans has created the Cork Prelow, a pair of Off The Wall specials made of wine stoppers.

We're almost certain that these are the worst shoes to wear in the rain (though they doubtless float), but the cork Vans look incredibly comfortable, as well as uniquely modern.

We're also pretty excited about this new use of cork, which in our humble opinion should be completely phased out. In the words of Martin Amis, "Screw-top wine has improved the quality of life by about ten percent, wouldn't you say?"
